2024 Team Registration Info

2024 PREMIER SEASON INFORMATION

FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS:

League fees $4775.00 if paid by the earlybird registration date of Monday, February 12.
League fees $5075.00 if paid during the normal registration time frame of Tuesday, February 13 through Thursday, February 29.
League fees $5375.00 if paid during the late registration period between Friday, March 1 and Friday, March 15.

Graduating Minors: If you have aged out of the minor program in 2022 or 2023 (last year of minor eligibility) and you would like to register a team in Premier Ball Hockey, then your team will receive a discount on the normal registration fee. The discount will be $600 off the regular registration fee for a total registration cost of $4475. To be eligible, your team must be comprised of a minimum of 12 players aged 21 or under (born in 2003 or later). The $4475 must be paid in full by Sunday, February 25.

U23 Division: If you would like to register a team in the new U23 Division in Premier Ball Hockey, then your team will receive a discount on the normal registration fee. The discount will be $600 off the regular registration fee for a total registration cost of $4475. To be eligible, your team must be comprised of a minimum of all players 23 or under (born in 2001 to 2004). The $4475 must be paid in full by Sunday, February 25.

Payments accepted are cash credit card and e-tranfer. E-transfers can be sent to mike.premierballhockey@gmail.com. If paying by credit card please send an email to mike.premierballhockey@gmail.com when you are ready to pay and we will send you an invoice via email that you can pay directly online.

LEAGUE MEETING: No In-Person Meeting

FINAL DATE TO REGISTER YOUR TEAM WITH THE LEAGUE (WITH A LATE PAYMENT FEE): Friday, March 15

REGULAR SEASON START DATE: The League will commence play on or about Tuesday, April 2

REGULAR SEASON FINISH DATE: Early June

PLAY-OFFS COMPLETE BY: Thursday, June 27

BC BALL HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIPS:

Div. B, C, D July 5 - July 7 in Kelowna/Vernon
 
Div. A, U23 and Women's July 12 - 14 in Surrey

CANADIAN BALL HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIPS (“B”, “C” & "D" DIVISIONS):

July 16 - July 20 Edmonton, AB

CANADIAN BALL HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIPS (“A” DIVISION - MASTERS - LEGENDS DIVISION):

August 5 - August 10 in Winnipeg, MB

Additional notes:

“C” & "D" division teams do not require matching sweat pants (must still be either all sweats or all shorts).

Any rule changes will be sent out to team reps in March.

Reminder note: Individual players are only be able to register to play for one team.
 
GENERAL EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:

(Specifications to be outlined in future rulebook handouts)

CSA approved helmets required; "cats-eye" type goalie masks are permitted provided they are csa approved - goalie should carry documentation for verification purposes; ice hockey gloves or approved Canadian Ball Hockey Association gloves required;

Matching jerseys (and sweat pants or shorts for "B" and "A" Divisions) required.  

Kneepads, shin pads and elbow pads and jock/cup are recommended.

GENERAL COMMUNICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

Teams must hold on to their gamesheet copy in case they are asked to send in a particular game (in event of a problem with the original).

TEAM ROSTERS:


Each team is permitted 20 players and 2 goalies dressed for any one game. All players must be registered on-line prior to participating in a game. 25 players will be on your final rosters to be handed into the Premier Ball Hockey League and in turned to the BC Ball Hockey Association on May 24th 11:59 pm. Players that are not registered will not be able to participate for the remainder of the season.

Tie Breaking Procedures:

Breaking ties in regular season games:

If a tie is the case at the end of regulation time, a 3 minute 4 on 4 sudden death overtime period, and if still tied, followed by a shoot-out to decide the outcome – 5 shooters/team. If a tie still remains, then one shooter per team shall be selected until the tie is broken. Shooter may not be re-used until one of the two teams has exhausted their entire game sheet roster (excluding back-up goalie). Play-off games ties will be broken via sudden death 10 minute overtime periods without time-outs and no break between periods (no shoot-out).
